We’ve all seen the copies of Phoenix magazines whenever we sit waiting at our doctors or dentists office. We’ve all grown to love and appreciate their annual top doctors/specialists lists, and even run out to get our one copy a year to secure that list. For over 40 years, many valley residents have looked to Phoenix Magazine as the “Valley Lifestyle” periodical, with their monthly suggestions on things to do, places to go, and of course their annual “Best of the Valley” picks that are voted on by their readership. Phoenix Magazine’s Best of the Valley is a celebration of Valley food, culture, entertainment, shopping and people, highlighting over 300 of Arizona’s best!
So what a thrill it was when AZDBA was informed earlier in the summer that our organization was picked by its readers to be included in Phoenix Magazine’s Best of the Valley – Fitness (Best Adult-Recreational League Sport) category in their August 2018 issue – the Fitness category focuses on fun, unique, and different venues (e.g. hiking trails, specialized gyms, fitness-related events) for getting your fitness on!
With a readership of 350,000+ (which includes 180k page views on their website) each month, Phoenix Magazine has become the go-to periodical for Valley residents to find out whats new and interesting to do in their leisure time. And as it turns out, Fitness suggestions are in the top 5 things that their readership (79%) looks for in the magazine each and every month. Also, with an average income of $180k, and with 75% of their readership indicating that information from the magazine have influenced their purchasing decision, AZDBA being listed in their annual Best of the Valley picks is a big deal.
